The Alternative Energy Promotion Centre (AEPC) has expanded its residential solar subsidy to cover up to 50% of installation cost in remote and off-grid districts.
The new policy targets areas where grid extension remains uneconomical — primarily mountainous districts in Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces.
Eligible households can apply through their local government offices, and the subsidy is delivered as a direct discount through certified installers, not as a reimbursement.
For Mega Solar customers in rural areas, this means significantly lower upfront cost. We're already working with several municipalities to coordinate community-scale rollouts.
