About home automation

Designed to last,
built to perform.

Our home automation solutions bring convenience, comfort, and efficiency to your living space. We integrate various smart home technologies to create a seamless, intuitive system that can be controlled from your smartphone or voice commands. From lighting and climate control to entertainment and security, our solutions make your home smarter and more responsive to your needs.

Home automation in Nepal has moved from novelty to mainstream over the last five years. What used to be a luxury reserved for Budhanilkantha villas and Jhamsikhel apartments is now something we install in mid-range homes across Kathmandu, Lalitpur, and Pokhara every week — and the reason is straightforward: NEA tariffs keep climbing, load-shedding still returns seasonally in the hills, and a well-designed automation system pays for itself in three to five years on electricity savings alone.

We focus on systems that work when the internet doesn't. Nepal's broadband is excellent in urban centres but falls apart the moment you're outside Ring Road or up a ridgeline, so we default to local-control protocols (Zigbee, Z-Wave, wired KNX for larger homes) with cloud features layered on top. If the WAN goes down, your lights, motors, and thermostats keep working. If the power goes down, a small UPS keeps the control panel alive long enough to ride out the outage.

A typical project starts with a site assessment — we look at your existing electrical load, measure Wi-Fi coverage, check for conduit runs, and document what you actually want automated. From there, we build an itemised quote: every switch, sensor, motor, and cable run is specced before the crew shows up. That takes three to seven days from first call to signed quote.

Installation is the fastest phase. A three-bedroom apartment with smart lighting, climate control, and automated blinds typically completes in four to six days. A full villa with gate automation, CCTV, video door phone, and multi-zone lighting takes two to three weeks. We phase the work so your family can live in the house during installation — we don't demand you move out.

Aftersales matters. Every automation panel we install ships with a physical spec sheet, a QR code linked to the digital handover pack, and our service team's direct line. Annual check-ups are included in year one, and we stock replacement parts for every brand we spec for at least eight years after install.

AEPC subsidy note

Home automation itself is not AEPC-subsidised. However, if you install home automation alongside solar PV or solar water heating, the solar components remain eligible for the AEPC 35% subsidy (up to 5 kW residential cap). We handle the paperwork and the inspection visit in-house.

How we work —

Step-by-step for home automation.

Every project follows the same rigorous path — from free consultation to lifetime support.

  • 01

    Free site visit

Our engineer comes to your home, measures existing electrical load, checks Wi-Fi coverage with a real tool (not a phone app), and walks through what you actually want automated. 60–90 minutes, no obligation.

  • 02

    Custom quote

Within 3–7 working days we deliver an itemised quote — every switch, sensor, motor, cable run, and commissioning hour. No round-numbers, no hidden margins.

  • 03

    Procurement

Once you approve the quote and pay 50% advance, we start ordering. For common brands we stock locally; for special items (KNX, premium Zigbee hubs) we import in 2–3 weeks.

  • 04

    Installation

Certified electricians on-site. Typical apartment: 4–6 days. Full villa with gate + CCTV: 2–3 weeks. We phase the work so you don't move out.

  • 05

    Commissioning

Every device tested, every scene programmed, every family member trained on the app. You get a printed spec sheet and video handover.

  • 06

    Lifetime support

Year-one annual check-up included. Our service team is one phone call away — engineers, not a call centre.

FAQ —

Answers we hear weekly.

Ordered roughly by how often customers ask. If your question isn't here, call or message — we'll add it.

  1. 01

What happens when the internet goes down?

Our default architecture uses local control protocols (Zigbee, Z-Wave, or wired KNX for premium). Lights, motors, thermostats, and door locks keep working with zero cloud dependency. App-based remote control pauses until WAN is back.

  2. 02

Can I retrofit home automation in my existing house, or does it only work in new builds?

Both. Roughly 70% of our installs are retrofits. For older homes we audit the wiring first — if grounding is poor or conduit is inaccessible, we'll recommend fixes before installing. For new builds, we coordinate with your architect/electrician to rough-in the cabling at the right stage.

  3. 03

Do I have to use an app for everything?

No. Every smart switch we install has a physical button that works exactly like a traditional switch. Guests don't need an app. Power cut? Still works. The app is an enhancement, not a dependency.

  4. 04

How do you handle family members who aren't tech-savvy?

Three-level training: (1) physical switches for grandparents, (2) simple scenes like 'Evening' or 'Bedtime' for everyday use, (3) full app for tech-forward family members. We train in-person during handover — typically 45 minutes per household.

  5. 05

What if a brand you installed goes out of business?

We only spec brands with 10+ year track records and local parts availability. That rules out most cheap Chinese stacks. For every major system we install, we keep replacement parts in stock for a minimum of 8 years.

  6. 06

    Does AEPC cover home automation?

Not directly. AEPC's 35% residential subsidy covers solar PV up to 5 kW. If you install solar + automation in one project, the solar portion is subsidised — we handle that paperwork.

  7. 07

    How long does installation take?

2 BHK apartment: 4–6 days. 3 BHK apartment: 5–8 days. Villa: 2–3 weeks. We phase the work so you can live in the house during installation.

  8. 08

Is home automation worth it if I rent?

Yes, for portable items — smart plugs, app-controlled bulbs, battery-powered motion sensors. Wired automation (hard-wired switches, curtain motors) only makes sense if you own the property or have a 5+ year lease.
