Chitwan's Terai climate is different from Kathmandu in ways that matter for installations. Summer temperatures routinely hit 40°C, humidity is higher, and dust from the east-west highway settles on everything. We spec higher-temperature-rated inverters and sealed gate-motor enclosures as standard for Chitwan installs — don't accept a Kathmandu-spec quote here.

Solar in Chitwan is the best business case of any of our service cities. Irradiance averages 5.4 kWh/m²/day (highest of our six), and flat rooftops dominate so shading is rarely an issue. A 3 kW system here typically pays back in under 5 years — 15–20% faster than Kathmandu.

Hotels around Sauraha (Chitwan National Park gateway) have become a meaningful vertical for us. Wildlife-lodge operators need reliable solar backup (NEA coverage is patchy in the buffer zone), RFID smart locks (high guest turnover), and exterior CCTV (safari vehicles, boundary security). We've completed four such hotel retrofits in 2024.

Home automation is slower to take off in Chitwan than the valley, but growing fast. Middle-class Bharatpur homes are our bread and butter — 3-4 BHK properties with full gate automation and smart lighting are now routine requests. We send crews twice a month for larger projects.

Travel logistics: 5 hours from Kathmandu by road. For Chitwan-only jobs we add NPR 12,000–18,000 one-time travel/logistics. When we have multiple jobs in one week, that cost is absorbed — ask us to schedule your install in a batch week.
